Family and group canyoning tours

Hrcavka Canyon is one of the few places in Europe where a 10-year-old and their parents can rappel the same waterfall, jump into the same pool, and walk out together asking when they can come back.

The half-day family route runs through the lower section of the canyon, jumps up to 5 meters, natural slides, and pools of clear water that sit between 8–14°C in summer. Every obstacle has an easier option. Nobody has to do anything they don’t want to.

July, August, and September are the best months – lower water, warmer air, calmer current. Groups are small by design: Branko and Davor run a maximum of 8 guests so every person gets real attention, not a queue.

The canyon entrance is a 20-minute drive from Tjentište, 1 hour from Foča. After the safety briefing and 30 minutes of walking in, you spend 2–3 hours in the canyon. On the way out, the route passes a large waterfall, the one most guests photograph more than anything else on the day.

					  Amazing canoeing experience!  - We had an amazing experience canoeing on the Tara River with Outdoor Tara. Our guide Branko was a great teacher and guide, and told us a lot about the area.... read more There was a good balance between excitement and calmeness to enjoy the scenery. During the trip some gopro footage was made, which was fun to show to our family and friends. Afterwards we enjoyed a warm lunch at the camp, which was delicious!

Overall great experience, great location, great guide, and good food! We were very happy we booked with Outdoor Tara and can recommend it to everyone.

					  Must do!  - We went on a canoe trip. After a great welcome breakfast we went to the river. Because other tours start around 11:00 we started around 12:00. We had the river... read more to ourself. Also, we had a private tour because of the low season. Everyone was very friendly and the guide told us a lot about the surroundings. The river itself is very beautiful and worth a visit. Also a very good tip of our guide was to bring some cash while canoeing.  There are different bars along the river where you can buy a drink and relax a bit. After 4/5 hours and a couple of beers we arrived at the basecamp (sounds like a long time but it didn’t feel like a long time). We had an amazing time with Outdoor Tara. Thanks!
