About Us

Outdoor Tara has been guiding canyoning adventures in Sutjeska National Park since 2014. The company was founded by Davor and Branko — local guides who have spent over a decade descending Hrcavka Canyon and building one of the most experienced canyoning operations in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We created canyoning.ba to make it easy for visitors to find clear, honest information about canyoning trips in the region — what to expect, how to prepare, and which tour fits your level.

How we work?

Safety is not a feature we advertise – it is the reason Davor and Branko built Outdoor Tara from scratch in 2014. Every anchor bolt on the Hrcavka route was placed by our guides. Every rappel point has been checked hundreds of times.

We keep groups to a maximum of 8 guests so that every person gets direct attention – not a briefing shouted over a crowd. Whether you’ve never worn a harness or you’ve canyoned before, we adjust the pace and the challenge to match your level. You won’t be pushed beyond what you’re comfortable with, and you won’t be held back if you want more.

A Never Ending “Adventurous Journey”

All Outdoor Tara guides are licensed by ICOpro- the International Canyoning Organisation for Professionals, and are fluent English speakers. This isn’t a box we tick. It means every guide on the water has been tested on rescue techniques, rope systems and emergency protocols.

Where the route has a harder option- a higher jump, a longer rappe, our guides will show you both. You choose. No pressure in either direction. The goal is that you finish the day having done something you didn’t think you could.
