Family and group canyoning tours

Hrcavka Canyon is one of the few places in Europe where a 10-year-old and their parents can rappel the same waterfall, jump into the same pool, and walk out together asking when they can come back.

The half-day family route runs through the lower section of the canyon, jumps up to 5 meters, natural slides, and pools of clear water that sit between 8–14°C in summer. Every obstacle has an easier option. Nobody has to do anything they don’t want to.

July, August, and September are the best months – lower water, warmer air, calmer current. Groups are small by design: Branko and Davor run a maximum of 8 guests so every person gets real attention, not a queue.

The canyon entrance is a 20-minute drive from Tjentište, 1 hour from Foča. After the safety briefing and 30 minutes of walking in, you spend 2–3 hours in the canyon. On the way out, the route passes a large waterfall, the one most guests photograph more than anything else on the day.

For me this was the first time canyoning; it's really a unique experience and I understood that this is one of the best places to do it: the nature is beautiful and the route varied, including sliding down rocks and jumping from a few meters high into the water.

I would recommend to anyone who is looking for some adrenaline, water and fun!

We were placed in accommodation (kamp konac) that had really friendly staff and the food was amazing and authentic. For our day of hiking they tailored it to what we wanted to do and our level of fitness. All activities lasted for a good length of time and we got all the equipment we needed. They took loads of videos by gopro which they gave to us for free. The car journeys were reasonable long (1-2hrs each way) due to road conditions which can't really be helped. I would highly recommend this small independent local company.
